I won’t sit here from my place of white cis male, middle-class privilege and tell you that anything else matters today. I’ve never experienced persecution, discrimination or marginalization of any kind. It’s not my place to speak for those who have. I’m in no position—and no mood, frankly—to discuss anything after what happened in Ferguson last night. Sorry. Your new lyric video, song stream or album announcement doesn’t matter today.

Instead, please watch Killer Mike’s speech from last night’s Run The Jewels show in St. Louis, just a few miles from Ferguson and just after prosecutor Robert McCulloch had announced that Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson wouldn’t be charged in the shooting death of Michael Brown.

Then, watch Mike’s CNN appearance and read his Billboard op-ed.

Then, throw a few bucks to the Ferguson public library, which unlike the town’s schools, is open today.

And please, by all means, stay angry about this. Never forget how this has made you feel, and do your best to channel that anger into something positive or constructive.
